This coming Sunday will be the last in what has been an unusually long season after Epiphany. We have been contemplating the many ways God breaks in among us in self-revelations, brief epiphanies and manifestations that brighten our lives. The Wise Men launched us on this journey of weeks, as they always do. On Sunday, Jesus will conclude this year’s journey with what might be his most difficult command. And it is a command, not a suggestion, not something he encouraged for times when conditions are right. A command. “Love your enemies.” What if the experience of forgiveness, when deep and genuine reconciliation happens, is an epiphany, a revelation of God among us? That’s the question we will explore in worship on Sunday. Join us!
