I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.– John 13:34-35
Extending Christ’s Love

Mission and outreach have been a core mission of our church since 1884 when the women of the church formed the Women’s Home and Foreign Missionary Society. Throughout our history we have worked within our community and beyond to extend Christ’s love and compassion to the poor and disadvantaged by working to improve their quality of life.
Our mission and outreach projects are collaborative and empowering, rooted in four core beliefs:
- The whole church, young and old alike, should be involved in mission and outreach;
- Supports that empower individuals and build community are more likely to result in long-lasting change;
- Programs must be developed in partnership with those we serve, drawing on their knowledge and insights;
- We must work collaboratively with others at multiple levels to address the underlying conditions that lead to poverty, disadvantage, and injustice.
Each year we devote 15% of our income for mission and outreach at the local, national and international levels. Our members are actively involved in mission projects and others from the community often join in our efforts. We invite you to learn more about our work and partner with us!
Interested in helping the local community? Come, join us! Community members are always welcome! Information on local mission projects can be found on the church calendar (side bar) or by contacting the church office.
