The Lord said to me, ‘Do not say, I am only a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and you shall speak whatever I command you.
– Jeremiah 1:7
Youth Fellowship Groups
Our middle and high school youth are actively engaged in our two youth fellowship groups on Sunday evenings. Both groups also are involved in local and national service.
GLU (God Loves Us, grades 6-8) and PYC (Presbyterian Youth Connection, grades 9-12) meet two to three Sunday evenings a month at 6:00 pm in the Youth Center. Fellowship evenings begin with prayer and a shared meal followed by fun games and activities. Favorite annual events include the corn maze, the climbing wall on campus, a lock-in, broomball, and chatting at a local coffeehouse.
PYC participates in a week long Go-and-Serve trip or Montreat Youth conference each summer. Mission trip destinations have been Kentucky, West Virginia, and New Orleans. GLU and PYC also have local service opportunities such as helping at the Twice is Nice Thrift Store and wrapping gifts to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. More information on youth mission activities is found in the Mission and Outreach section.
