Sunday Worship

Corporate worship is the foundation of our faith community. On Sunday mornings we come together to worship God with praise and thanksgiving. At First Presbyterian we blend both traditional and contemporary elements in worship.

Join us for our Sunday service from 9:30 – 10:30 am in the Sanctuary. Child care is always available but we never mind a little squirming or talking during the service.

On any given Sunday you may hear a magnificent Bach organ piece, a rousing spiritual sung by our choir, and both traditional and contemporary hymns. Each week we raise our joys and concerns to God in prayer, are inspired to deeper faith through the sermon, and offer up our gifts to God during the offering. On the first Sunday of each month we participate in the sacrament of holy communion.

Children are a part of our worship and always welcome. The children always brings a smile to our faces as they offer up their often profound understanding of God and what it means to do God’s work during worship and in Sunday school. And we rejoice in our older youth when they plan and lead the worship service. On the second Sunday of each month, our offering time is very noisy as the children collect coins in soup cans to support our food pantry. Plus, the hand-bell choir regularly makes a joyful noise unto the Lord.
