From the Pastor/Head of Staff

“Painting of Hooded Crows,” by Bruno Liljefors, in the Gothenburg Art Museum, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Both the Psalmist (82:2) and the Apostle Paul (Romans 2:11) make the truth plain: God shows no partiality. In the New York Times today, there is an article about Albert Einstein, and a new translation of a diary he kept when he made an international trip in 1922. His arrogant, ignorant partiality, his racism, is shocking how do we judge? On what basis do we assess others? The scriptures we will hear on Sunday present us with the way God judges, impartially, based on what we have in our hearts, and not on our appearance.

On Tuesday, our Malawi mission trip group will depart Urbana for Indianapolis, from which we will depart early Wednesday morning. So for the next two weeks, I will not be contributing to the E Report. While we are away, please keep us in your prayers. We look forward to returning with many stories and pictures to share.

Blessings!

David
