In 2016, the 222nd General Assembly approved a new church-wide, anti-racism policy: Facing Racism: A Vision of the Intercultural Community. Our denomination has also published six study guides which provide tools for empowering church communities to have important conversations about race and racism in relation to Christian faith.
Everybody is invited to join in a series of six conversations, led by David Oliver-Holder, centered on these study guides. All materials will be provided and we’ll share some snacks. We’ll meet every other Sunday evening, 5:30-7:00 p.m., beginning today, September 17th, in the church library. Some of the future meetings may be held in members’ homes, so be sure to contact the church office if you’re unsure of location after today’s study. If you wish to preview the materials, they are available online at https://
