Giving Praise and Thanksgiving
A beautiful sunset, a mountain top view, a rushing stream glistening in the sunlight, a doe gently nuzzling its fawn in the morning mist all call us to praise the wonder of God’s creation. While praise and thanksgiving for God happens at every worship service, there are special worship times when we experience even more fully the majesty of God’s creation.
Earth Care Worship Services
Each fall and spring we offer a special worship service to praise the Creator of all things, thank God for the wonder of the earth, ask God’s forgiveness for damage we have done to the earth, and commit ourselves to better protecting all of God’s creation.
Easter Sunrise Service

On Easter Sunday we gather together for the sunrise service at Meadowbrook Park. In the glory of God’s creation, we celebrate the resurrection of the savior of the world, Jesus Christ.
Worshiping in Nature
Worship does not happen only in the sanctuary. For many, being in nature elicits an immediate connection to God and all living things. We have created several gardens and quiet spaces on the church grounds. We invite you in to sit, quiet your soul, open your heart, and experience the glory of God’s creation.
Praise the Lord from the earth,…you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds, kings of the earth and all nations….
– Psalm 148: 7a, 9-11a
